How to Apply

We know your transfer process has been dramatically impacted by COVID-19, and we want to remove as many stressors as we can. That’s why Dominican University is Test Optional and will no longer require ACT and/or SAT scores.

When you apply to Dominican as a transfer student, we make sure you are rewarded with academic credit and merit scholarships for the hard work you have already completed.

Our rapid-response admission process means that when you complete your Dominican application materials, you will receive an admission decision within two weeks. We begin making admission decisions on October 15.

Transfer Requirements

Minimum entrance requirements for students in good standing from regionally accredited two-year or four-year colleges include:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Cumulative grade-point average of 2.5 on 4.0 scale
  • Students transferring with fewer than 12 semester hours must also meet freshman requirements
    • Standardized test scores (optional): Your scores can only help you. While we will accept scores if submitted to us, we will not use them for admission decisions.
  • Students with fewer than 24 semester hours of college credit must also submit official high school transcripts

  • Request official transcripts from every college/university attended
  • If you have fewer than 12 semester hours of credit, request and submit ACT or SAT scores (optional).
